This page describes how you can request deletion of some or all of your data without closing your account for the PUE Driver mobile application, developed by Pickup Edinburgh (the developer name shown on the Google Play store listing). If you want to delete your account and all associated data, please use the Account and data deletion page instead.
How to request data deletion (keep your account)
- Open the PUE Driver app or go to our website and find the Contact or Support details.
- Send an email with the subject "PUE Driver – Data deletion request" and include the email address associated with your driver account so we can identify it.
- In your message, specify which data you want deleted (e.g. profile photo, location history, device/push data) or ask for deletion of all data that can be removed while keeping your account active.
- We will process your request and confirm what has been deleted. Some data may be retained where required by law or for operational reasons (see below).
Data we can delete on request (without closing your account)
Upon request, we can remove or anonymise the following types of data while keeping your account open:
- Profile photo
- Push notification tokens and device identifiers (you may need to re-enable notifications later if you want them again)
- Stored location or trip history linked to your account, where technically and legally possible
- Other non-essential profile or preference data you ask us to remove
Data we may retain and for how long
Even when you request data deletion, we may retain some data where required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Account identifiers (e.g. name, email) and login credentials: needed to keep your account active; to remove these, you would need to request full account deletion.
- Transaction and earnings records: as required for tax and accounting (typically up to 7 years or as required by applicable law)
- Anonymised or aggregated data that no longer identifies you: may be kept for analytics and service improvement
- Reservation or trip records in anonymised or aggregated form where required for operational or legal reasons
